Berd was founded in 2015 on a mission to use advances in materials science and engineering to improve cycling products. Their PolyLight™ spokes are the lightest spokes in the world. They have a unique vibration dampening property and allow cyclists to ride farther and faster with less effort.

Wheels built with Berd spokes outperform steel spokes when exposed to impact. This is because Berd spokes distribute the energy of the impact over more spokes, which puts less stress on the rim, spokes, hub and nipples. Berd spokes also excel in torque fatigue due to the material properties of Dyneema®.
